A kinetic visual novel made for Game Jam Plus Manila and NaNoRenO 2023.

Story

March 18, 1996.
A fire broke out in an otherwise lively disco bar somewhere in Quezon City, and it would eventually be the worst one in Philippine history.
Beyond this tragedy lies another tragedy...
...of a high school couple who graduated in an unconventional -- and heartbreaking -- way.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to post an opinion on a game that covers such topic. So you don't have to pay attention to it if you don't want to:)

But in case you'd like an honest feedback, here it is: background images look nice. They really bring the 90-s atmosphere. Also interesting to see what a different country looks like.

Mika's sprite is very cute:)

And I enjoyed cheerful anime music:)

I have to mention very heavy writing. Reminded me of "The Letter", a different Filipino VN. The language seems unnatural and is full of mistakes. Maybe using simpler words and grammar would be better?

As for the story, it could easily be condensed into fewer chapters. There's a lot of text where nothing is going on.

Although story idea is interesting!

Thanks for the comment. As someone who grew up with anime, I believe it's my obligation to make Mika an endearing character, since covering just the day of the incident would remove the story's emotional quotient.

Furthermore, it's my obligation as a 90s Filipino kid to tell the rest of the world what life was like back then. If A Space for the Unbound (made by Indonesians) did it, why shouldn't I?
